General Information & Hours of Operation
Churchville Nature Center is a non-profit facility of the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation founded in 1964 as the first nature center in Bucks County.
The mission of the Center is to instill an awareness and appreciation of the natural world in all people through education, and to encourage responsible environmental stewardship with a commitment to the preservation of resources and wildlife habitat.
Facilities include a visitor center housing interpretive exhibits, a gift shop and both indoor and outdoor wildlife viewing areas and 2 miles of nature trails.
Stand surrounded by fluttering gems in our Janet V. Makiewicz Butterfly House, visit a re-created Lenape Indian Village or take a stroll through our Marlin D. Corn Wildlife Gardens.
A full range of environmental programs are offered for school classes as well as scout groups. Public programs include bird walks, campfire programs, children's clubs and a wide variety of outings and field trips.
There is something for everyone!
Visitor Center Hours
Tuesday - Sunday 10AM to 5PM
Nature Trails are open sunup to sundown every day. No pets are allowed on the trails.
Note: Our paths are handicapped-accessible, and wheelchairs are available.
Lenape Village Hours
The Lenape Village is open to the public for tours every Sunday 1:00 to 4:00 pm April through October. Weekdays the village is used for private school programs, which can be booked with Lenape Village Program Director Marge Custer: (215) 357-4005 ext. 5039
Butterfly House Hours
